RULES

We’re all for fun, but safety is very important as well. We want everyone to feel safe at Fun Mountain. Please read through our rules for more information.

FOR YOUR SAFETY…

All patrons must read and obey all park signs. The lifeguards on the pool decks will answer any questions you have in regards to signs or slide rules. All patrons in diapers must wear swim diapers. If you have forgotten to bring them, they are available at the gift store.

CLOTHING
We do not allow clothing with rivets, buttons, or zippers of any kind. Anyone riding the slides must be wearing appropriate swimwear. No full pants or bulky clothing as they slow the ride down and can result in collisions. Patrons wearing any clothing non-compliant with the rules will not be able to slide.

FIRST AID
Fun Mountain takes your safety seriously. All lifeguards are NLS certified and have First Aid certification. We have two first aid stations: one on the pool deck and one in the office building. Pool water quality is checked hourly.

PARK RULES: NOT PERMITTED

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of our guests, the following are not permitted in the park or on the premises:

• Glass containers
• Smoking (allowed outside the park gates)
• Outside food or beverages (allowed at your vehicle)
• Gum
• BBQ’s (not permitted anywhere on Fun Mountain property)
• Nude sunbathing
• Thong swimwear
• Offensive language on clothing
• Pets
• Water balloons

SLIDING RULES: NOT PERMITTED

• Head first
• Running starts
• Stopping, standing, kneeling in slides
• Sliding on stomach
• Getting in or out between top and bottom of slide
• Street wear cut offs, denim shorts with buttons or buckles are not permitted on any of the water slides. Traditional swimwear required. In the event that you have forgotten you swimsuit at home, we have swimwear available for sale in the gift shop.
• No metal down the slides. This includes buttons, rivets, zippers, jewlery and keys.

SLIDING RULES: PERMITTED

• On back or bum (unless indicated otherwise)
• Feet first
• Adult and small child on designated slides only
• Lifejackets (unless indicated otherwise)

SPECIFIC WATER SLIDE RULES
RIVER RIDE:
Adult Tubes allowed only, with double riders on double tubes only (each rider must be sitting in each section). Pool is 4 ft. deep. *PFD’s allowed

CHERRY BOMB:
Tubes not allowed. Single riders only! No exceptions. Pool is 4 ft. deep. *PFD’s allowed.

DRAGON:
Tubes not allowed. LYING DOWN ONLY! Single riders only in laying down position! No Exceptions. Pool is 4 ft. deep. Sliders wearing *PFD’s are not allowed on the slide.

TWISTER, BONZAI, AND TUNNEL DROP:
Tubes not allowed. 

HOT TUB:
No jumping, swimming or playing in the hot tub. Patron’s head must stay above water. Maximum 50 people at one time. No flotation toys permitted. 2 ½ ft. deep. *PFD’s allowed.

NON-COMPLIANT PROCEDURE

In the event that a guest is non-compliant with park regulations, the guest may be required to leave the park without compensation or refund.

LIGHTNING PROCEDURE

In the event of lightning, announcements will be made on the PA system for everyone to exit the pools & slide areas and to seek shelter under the shelters and in buildings. All park staff help get patrons to safety. All park activities will remain closed until/if/when it is safe to re-open.

IS THERE A LODGING/CAMPGROUND NEARBY?

MAY I USE COUPONS WITH GROUP RATES?
No, coupons cannot be combined with already reduced group rates.

DO I GET A REFUND IF THE PARK CLOSES EARLY DUE TO BAD WEATHER?
Fun Mountain does not give a complimentary pass due to inclement weather unless the customer has been at the park for less than an hour, with proof of purchase, and Fun Mountain closes the park.

DOES EVERYONE HAVE TO PAY TO GET INTO THE PARK?
Yes, everyone pays who wants to enter the park.

CAN I BRING A PICNIC?
Fun Mountain offers a wide variety of awesome food at our concessions. Fun Mountain does not allow any outside food or beverage into the park (just like many other entertainment venues in the city, including movie theatres, and BellMTS Place) with the exception of factory sealed bottled water, baby food (not in glass containers) and provable allergy sufferers. If you wish to bring your own meals, or suffer from a Celiacs disease, you can go back to your vehicles at leisure.

DO I NEED TO BRING CASH OR DO YOU ACCEPT DEBIT AND CREDIT CARDS?
We do accept debit, Visa and MasterCard at most of our venues. We also have an ATM on site. Concession is cash only.

AM I ALLOWED TO SMOKE IN THE WATERPARK?
Fun Mountain is smoke-free as it is considered a public place and we expect our guests to adhere to this rule even though the park is outdoors and covers a large area. The wristband that you are given before entering the park allows you to leave the park and re-enter without penalty on the day of your visit so that you can exit the park and smoke outside the park. Please be courteous of the other guests waiting in line at the Admission booth.

IF PHOTOS ARE TAKEN OF ME, WHERE CAN I FIND THEM?
During your visit at Fun Mountain Waterslide Park, you are subject to be photographed and/or video taped for promotional purposes. All photos are Fun Mountain property and may be used on social media. If you want to find your photos, check out https://www.facebook.com/pg/afterdarkwpg/photos/?ref=page_internal.

DO I NEED FOOTWEAR?
Fun Mountain’s walkways, like any hard surface, absorb the sun’s heat. We recommend that you wear some type of secure footwear. If you do not have proper footwear or have forgotten yours at home, you can purchase some at our gift store.

DO YOU HAVE LIFEJACKETS?
Lifejackets are available at the gift store on a first come, first serve basis. A phone number and deposit are required with the rental fee.

DO YOU HAVE LOCKERS AVAILABLE?
Yes, we recommend that you secure your valuables in a locker. Fun Mountain is not responsible for lost or stolen items whether in the park or outside of the park. Locker keys are available at the gift store for a nominal fee and a deposit.
We DO NOT guarantee that lockers are available, and will not refund gate admission if the lockers are full.

WHAT ABOUT MY VALUABLES?
It is best to leave valuables at home. Every day, something is left behind at the park. If you forget something, be sure to call us as soon as possible. Due to the nature of the park being outdoors and water related, many lost and found items are difficult to store and consequently get discarded. Water resistant items are easier to take care of and are more likely to be retrieved by park attendants and held in safe keeping until the owner inquires of them.

DO YOU HIRE LIFEGUARDS?
Yes, all of our lifeguards are NLS and first aid certified.

DO YOU HAVE A FIRST AID STATION?
Yes, Fun Mountain has 2 First Aid stations, one on the pool deck and one in the office building. All lifeguards are certified in first aid.

WHAT IF I FORGET MY BATHING SUIT, SUNGLASSES OR SUNSCREEN?
All of these items and many more are available at the gift store.

IS FUN MOUNTAIN WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
Yes, Fun Mountain doesn’t have any steps on it’s walking paths or entry. However: access to slides does require climbing stairs.

IS THERE PUBLIC TRANSIT TO FUN MOUNTAIN?
No, Fun Mountain is just outside the city limits and is not on any transit route. We are very easy to find if carpooling is an option.

CAN I BOOK A SPECIFIC AREA OR SPOT FOR MY GROUP OR PARTY?
Yes, if there will be 25 or more, a canopy can be booked. Availability is on a first come, first serve basis. Groups of 25 or more can also enjoy reduced group rates.

DO YOU CATER MEALS?
Yes, we have special catered meals for groups of 25 or more. Please email info@funmountain.ca and request price list and order form.

WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE IF THE WEATHER TURNS BAD DURING THE DAY?
In the event of poor weather throughout the day we may or may not shut down the park. If it appears that the weather will persist we will most likely close early that day. We don’t offer refunds refunds due to weather. Often we will wait for the weather to pass and -re-open the attractions when it is safe to do so.
